Background

The RiSE Scholarship Foundation, Inc. was established in 2010 to reward students with learning disabilities, who have shown determination, self advocacy and success in overcoming their difficulties and are pursuing post secondary education. RiSE Scholarship Foundation Inc. aims to offer meaningful scholarships to award the success of students, to bring awareness, and education to the subject of learning disabilities.

In 2013, RiSE  formed a branch of RiSE Scholarship Foundation, Inc. to recognize and reward students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. RiSE awarded it’s first scholarship award to a student with ASD in the same year and plans to grow both areas of RiSE in the future.

The RiSE Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is a non- profit organization. It is recognized by the IRS as a 501 (c) 3 organization.

As a community we can reward success, while bringing attention to the needs of learning disabled students. These students can thrive and excel if given the support, opportunity and tools to pursue their dreams!

Goal setting and disability awareness are important attributes that will help you navigate the transition from high school to college. Make sure you are up to date on your disability and the tools that are available to unlock your potential.

Knowing your challenges, but focusing on your strengths will not only allow you to be the happiest, but will bring you the most success!

Positive Choices and proactive involvement will allow you to live up to your potential!

Through fundraising efforts and work with educators, schools and parents, RiSE Scholarship Foundation, Inc. intends to present awards to students with identifiable, diagnosed learning differences who have used their strengths and determination to RiSE above their differences.
